I FINALLY started playing The Last of Us.
What took me so long, right?
I know, I know I feel ashamed that it has taken me this long to get to a game that is regarded a Play Station classic. The showing of the second game at E3 spurred me on to get it and actually play it.
Another confession; I played for two hours the other day and I didn’t take one photo. That very rarely happens, and must be a testament to the game. But here are a few from the start of the game, don’t worry no real spoilers, but the first 20-30 minutes were brutal. I have no idea how far I am into the game, but I am actually enjoying taking my time with this.
I think one of the reasons it took me so long to play this game is because anything to do with zombies is like a big fat no from me. For some reason zombies are the one thing that digs deep into my brain and I will actually have nightmares about, proper waking up in the middle of the night type of nightmares. It’s the reason why I had to stop watching The Walking Dead TV show (I have enough other worries to keep me up at night). Zombies basically scare the shit out of me and I avoid anything to do with them to get a nice night full of slumber. So yes, while I have played zombie based games in the past, for a long time I haven’t gone near one. And it would take a lot for me to play one, but with games like The Last of Us, while there are zombies, there is so much more to this game that I can forgive one, or two, nightmares.
So, I get to see what all the fuss is about….
